Black History Month 2021: How to teach Black History

Seeking member contributions for online piece

For Black History Month 2020, two EIS members shared their perspectives on Black Lives Matter, anti-racist education, and the usefulness of commemorative history months.

This year, we would like to take the opportunity to seek member contributions and opinions around the topic of “How to Teach Black History”.

Members are invited to submit their contributions, up to 250 words in length, or, up to 30 second video recording of themselves reflecting on the topic, sharing a good practice example or any resources or links.

Contributions can be submitted via email to John Harris, jharris@eis.org.uk by 15th October and may be featured online on EIS’ website and in the SEJ. Please indicate in your submission whether you are happy for your name to be included.
