A key part of addressing sexism and misogyny amongst young people requires prohibitive gender stereotypes and expectations to be challenged. This is also true for addressing the prejudice experienced by LGBT young people.<\/li><li>Researchers like <a href=\"https:\/\/psycnet.apa.org\/record\/2005-12921-003\">Poteat and Espelage<\/a> (2005) and <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1177\/1097184X07304808\">Pascoe<\/a> (2007) have found that where heterosexual boys and young men participate in homophobic bullying behaviours, it is often to belittle or humiliate other boys and young men whom they consider to be less \u2018masculine\u2019 than themselves or to be portraying \u2018feminine\u2019 traits or behaviours that contradict traditional masculinities: the implication being that femininity is inherently lesser or wrong, which is sexism.<\/li><li>A key part of addressing sexism and misogyny amongst young people requires prohibitive gender stereotypes and expectations to be understood and challenged. This is also true for addressing the prejudice experienced by LGBT young people. <\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dff9c67 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"dff9c67\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-23fe014 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"23fe014\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>LGBT inequality and patriarchy are two systems that rely on one another to thrive.
