As part of our commitment to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, a member of the SEJ team accompanied a school group on a trip to Auschwitz in 2011. Featured below is a first-hand account of his experience and the history of the Holocaust.

Reducing weekly class contact hours will help all teachers if the preparation & correction time is correspondingly increased. Employing more teachers will reduce workload for staff at all levels. Vote YES for more teachers and more manageable workloads.
Thousands of qualified teachers aren’t able to get permanent work, whilst the current workforce is hugely overworked - this is neither fair nor sustainable. We need more teachers in our schools. Vote YES for secure jobs and fairer work for all teachers.
